About MacGameFPS
Why MacGameFPS exists
When someone asks “how many FPS will this game get on my Mac?”, the answer is usually scattered across videos, forum threads and launch-day reviews of a single chip. MacGameFPS turns that into a searchable database: every game with a Mac version, on every Apple Silicon Mac model, with a number and an explanation of where it comes from.
Who is behind it
MacGameFPS is built and maintained by a team specialised in graphics performance, the same team that created CheckFPS, the PC FPS calculator. MacGameFPS applies the same method to the Mac, adapted to what makes Apple Silicon different: unified memory, each model’s cooling and MetalFX.
What we cover and what we don’t
35 games with an official macOS version across 40 Mac models, from M1 to M6. Most are native to Apple Silicon; 9 are Intel builds that run through Rosetta 2, macOS’s built-in translation, and each game page says so. We do not cover games that only run through third-party layers (CrossOver, Parallels, Game Porting Toolkit), because their performance swings too much between versions to give a reliable number. Intel Macs are not covered either.
Independence
We are not affiliated with Apple or any studio, and nobody pays us for the numbers. Some game pages carry clearly labelled Eneba affiliate links; neither the commission nor any future advertising affects the figures.
